Why Connected Hollywood Exists
The toughest thing about working in social media in the entertainment industry used to be convincing others that social media mattered.
Those days are long gone.
Now, leveraging social in effective ways has become an obsession of just about everybody in entertainment. But most people still don’t understand a whole lot about how to actually do that.
Further complicating matters for those of us that do know how to make social media “work,” is rapidly evolving landscape of new platforms and new practices governing what happens on existing platforms.
In short, handling social media for a TV show, movie, or celebrity has become quite a challenge.
And there’s a surprising lack of resources available to those of us looking to turn Likes into viewers and shares into ticket sales.
I created Connected Hollywood to help with that.
My hope is this site can become a platform to help you learn, connect with other industry social media pros, and grow your career.
